A few years later, after a long search, her mother finally found a photo of the two of them from before 1996, the year Christelle and her family fled Rwanda.
Since then, she has never taken the photo out of her possession, reminding her of where she came from.
For her, the act of photographing and freezing images has a profound meaning and allows her to grow and enrich herself.
It was when she became a model that she began to photograph people other than those closest to her.
Thanks to her profession, she opens up to the world, travels, meets people and captures each of these moments. It is these moments captured over the years that she has decided to showcase through her exhibition.
This upcoming exhibition is also an opportunity for her to support La Mode Européenne, an association that recovers unsold clothes from European brands to sort them and redistribute them to needy populations on the African continent.
